The border of Cambodia since it independance is protected by Geneva Conference on 1954 and the Paris Peace Agreement on 1991.

It measures up about 1137 Km and demarcaded by 124 boundaries mark put on 1873 from the East end border line of Cambodia-Vietnam up to  irrigation canal Vinh Té.

This border is  inherited of French colonial .

It was modified  in  favour of Vietnam by the treaties concluded in 1979 1982 1985 betwen Vietnam
 and Popula Republic of   Kampuchea under occupation of Vietnam

The Paris Peace Agreement on 23 october 1991 allowed Cambodia to restore all it integrity Territorial

Why MR HUN SEN'S Royal Government bases the border negociation with the Vietnam on the
1979-1982-1983-1985 who is against with :
- Geneva Agreement on 1954 then Vietnam recognize the integrity teritorial of Cambodia
- recognition in more times by the Vietnam the border of Cambodia and specialy those of Jun 1967
- Paris Peace Agreement on 23 octobre 1991 whom Vietnam is on of the 18 signatories Country
- Constitution of Cambodia
- Vienna Convention on the Treaties.

The truth is MR HUN SEN don't want to put in fetters the good cooperations with the Vietnam ( the answer of MR HUN SEN to the King dated 31 August 2000 )
